A new beginning...

Well, this isn't the first time I have tried blogging! In spite of all good intentions, I started trying blogging when I had Faith, and unfortunately became too busy to keep it up. Hopefully I will do a little bit better than last time. So, a little bit about me to get things started:

I grew up in Searcy, Arkansas. Yes, save all of the "backwoods, Arkansas" jokes. I have heard them all and can probably tell them better!! I moved to Texas after graduating, graduated nursing school, then moved to Lubbock. I met my husband when we were in college, and we now have ended up back in Lubbock. I am a critical care nurse here in Lubbock. I love my job and hopefully will become an acute care nurse practitioner before all is said and done. My husband and I finally had our little girl, Faith Elizabeth, last year on February 10th. She is our little miracle child and the light of our lives!! She is such a blessing and our lives would not be complete without her!! My husband is the most amazing father, and I am reminded every day how special he is!!! So that's "us" in a nutshell!

So, what to blog about?? I guess just whatever happened today and is on my mind! Sean is in Oklahoma working this week, and will be back Easter weekend. So for now, it's just Faith, myself, and my mother in law Penny who takes care of Faith while I am working. She is amazing and such a blessing in our lives!! Because of her we don't have to send Faith to a daycare!! So, I worked last night in the CCCU at the Heart Hospital, and slept and played with Faith today. Tonight, we had dinner, then I gave Faith a bath and put her to bed (our usual routine). Faith was in bed by 9:45, a little late for her since she's in bed by 9 on a normal basis. Unfortunately Faith has been sick with an ear infection and strep lately, so she's a little off her schedule with the antibiotics and fighting the fever, but she's on the mend thankfully!! :)) After I put her to bed, and after I woke up after accidently falling asleep with her, I picked up where I left off with Army Wives and settled in on the couch. It's nice to kick back and relax after a long week of work!!

Faith is getting so big!! I still can't believe she is already 14 months old! Time is flying and while part of me loves seeing her develop and watching all of the new things she learns, part of me HATES that my itty bitty baby is getting older by the minute!! Plus, I hate this new "attitude" that comes with having a GIRL that is growing up and hitting terrible two's a year early. Faith has always been early at everything...crawling at 5 months, pulling up and standing at 7 months, and walking/running by 9 months. So I'm hoping this is the terrible two's that we have been warned about, and that by age two, she's completely out of that stage! She is sweet alot of the time though. She loves to kiss and hug and cuddle. That part I love and cherish. Although she is MISSING her daddy this week!!! She's never been away from him this long and it's awful for her AND terrible for him!! Can't wait till he comes home next weekend!!!

Anyways, time for bed. It'll be another early morning of Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, Wonder Pets and Chuggington!! I love my life as a mommy though and wouldn't change it for anything!!

Love
Liz
